Is there a link between your Mars placement and you being on an anti-inflammatory diet?

The assignment of individual planets, zodiac signs to the organs of the human body as well as to the illnesses and disorders associated with them was a highly respected scholarly tradition historically and an early form of data analysis. As a result a discussion of the charts with a medical practitioner, the patient, as well as the illness itself was common. All the information was based on the medical, astrological knowledge of the time as evidenced by the numerous references to authorities of the ancient and medieval scientific world.

Tropical or Sidereal:

Your chart is not a map of your psychology/identity, it is a map of your life; therefore, while one may find stuff related to personality and behaviours and personal tendencies/patterns in their natal chart, that is only a fraction of what it entails and reflects. Resonating with x placements is not necessary to prove the validity of the chart. Seeing the chart work when applying timing techniques and other considerations is what determines the validity of the chart: how well it works at telling the unfolding of your life. With this point in mind, the two different systems are basically two versions of the same book, different languages used to understand the same story. 

Sidereal is a more masculine/yang astrology (because it is a sky-based zodiac) and the tropical system has become a tool which most people initially use for psychological assessment/personality guessing, All in all it is just a matter of understanding these two systems are used as as different tools for the same purpose, or languages that remain pretty similar at their core, but have divergently evolved in use over time. and I don't think confirmation bias would apply when understanding the difference this way suffices to account for equal and simultaneous validity. 

Why Mars:

Mars represents primal energy, the fuel in which we bring ideas, dreams and desires. It yields and fuels us with power, strength, courage and physical activity. It controls the muscular system, blood (specifically red blood cells), head (especially the forehead and nose), the thyroid and the external reproductive or sex organs. Mars is a traditional malefic planet and is considered to be inflammatory. It’s one of the planets that is connected with surgeries and going under the knife. 

You need to check using Sidereal whether you have a strong Mars or weak Mars. My Mars is in Virgo which sits in the first house. 

When Weak the following symptoms will be prevalent:

  • Low stamina, lethargy, or chronic fatigue.

  • Anaemia or poor circulation.

  • Low immunity and frequent infections or fevers.

  • Issues with reproductive health and painful menstrual cycles in women.

When Overactive:

  • High blood pressure and hypertension.

  • Tendency for inflammation, ulcers, and acidity.

  • Propensity for accidental injuries, wounds, or sudden surgeries. 

To balance Mars-related energy and support the physical body:

  • Physical Activity: Regular, vigorous exercise is the best natural remedy for removing excess or sluggish Martian energy.

  • Herbal Support: Incorporating bitter medicinal plants and trees like Neem is believed to have a cooling, balancing effect on Mars' fiery vibrations. 

By nature, the herbs of Mars are energetically yang and considered hot, energetic, and dry. They frequently cause an increase in energy or heat, even if only energetically. Using them extensively can overthrow the adrenals and your emotions. Nettle, in its physicality and medicinal action, possesses thorns that act as hypodermics, injecting subcutaneous doses of stinging fluid. If you have a strong Mars:

Inflammation based outbreaks like candida, fatigue, energy levels (high or low), hyperactivity, living in “fight-or-flight mode" is common. So eating fresh, home-cooked, with enough grounded products like grains, ghee, and seasonal vegetables is favoured as too much dry, spicy, processed food will burn Mars out. 

Weak Mars:

You will like hot and very spicy food. Onion, garlic, pepper, red chillies, pickles and tamasic food.  Difficulties in the digestive system primarily for hot and savoury foods so by eating pomegranates, red lentils, beetroot, tomatoes, raspberries, lean red meats, ginger, black pepper, cayenne, chili and turmeric will help.

Mars’ herbs are activating one way or another, therefore they must be used wisely since they tend to activate all facets of one’s being; energetically and spiritually. It’s important to note, that if you’re engine is already running hot and there is a prominence of Mars energy, don’t over consume plants that might make your engine overheat. 

Anti Inflammatory

The Latin word for inflammation translates to “a kindling, a setting on fire” and the diet promotes having less inflammation in the body - it helps calm chronic systemic inflammation. Therefore going on an anti inflammatory diet helps balance the martian energy as well as having an anti inflammatory lifestyle mentally and physically. The connection between stress, inflammation, and overall health is a complex interplay that underscores the importance of mental well-being in physical health. This is why western doctors recommend improving sleep hygiene and the importance of establishing a healthy sleep routine essential for a healthy inflammatory response. Some may even be misdiagnosed with an anti inflammatory diet when in reality all they need to do is adjust their surroundings or take care of their emotional wellbeing. This is why acne clears up after leaving an abusive relationship primarily due to a dramatic drop in cortisol which drives inflammation. There is no fight or flight mode or disrupted sleep. The individual may have been on a strict anti inflammatory diet but if his/her relationship is on the rocks then it’s unlikely that their inflammation will significantly decrease.

To conclude:

I don’t feel that medical astrology can explain how the human body functions absolutely, but I feel that it can be used as an inexpensive, adjunct method to help clarify tendencies in the twelve areas of life represented by the horoscope.
